MELTED GLASS JUG CARAFE WATER WINE HAND BLOWN RECYCLED TEAK BASE 23 cm x 22 cm

This unique glass bowl has been from and blown glass and melted onto its teak wooden base. This provides a snug and stable fit. Each melted glass piece is absolutely unique. The teak is taken from recycled tree root. Made from 100% recycled glass material. Thousands of all of glass bottles are collected by local people who then sell them to the glass workshops. The bottles are smashed into tiny pieces before being melted in the recycled glass gas burner at very high temperatures. 

Each piece is then individually handblown and the end result is the beautiful handblown heavy duty glassware. If you pick up one of these glasses they feel quite different to factory produced glass. For one they are heavier and often contain small air bubbles, making each piece unique.
