Thuya burl wood is an exotic wood that exudes a rich aroma due to its high oil content. In fact the ancient Greeks used the oil as an incense for religious purposes. It grows in the Atlas mountains but as become rare and logging is strictly controlled by the Moroccan authorities. It is the same wood that is used to furnish the panelling in Rolls Royce cars and other luxury items
