This a beautifully hand carved jewellery or trinket box with a red velvet lining. It is made in India on a fair trade basis from Indian Rosewood and has an exquisite carved floral pattern on the sides and top. The box is 18 cms across 10 cms high and 12 cms deep Our suppliers are members of BAFTS (British Association of Fair Trade Shops and Suppliers). This a beautiful hand carved and painted jewellery or storage box depicts a honeycomb with bees and is made from mango wood. The box has been finished in a warm golden yellow distressed paint finish.

It has been made in Saharanpur, a city in Northern India on a fair trade basis. Saharanpur is famous for wood carving and is close to the Himalayan foothills. 

Mango wood is a sustainable fast growing wood that reaches maturity in 10-12 years. It can  be used for both its wood and fruit.

The box is 23 cm across 16 cm high and 15 cm deep.
