ETHICALLY SOURCED FAIR TRADE WHITE LACQUERED BAMBOO SALAD BOWL These stunning bowls are made in Vietnam by skilled craftsmen on a fair trade basis. Bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants on earth and is very environmentally friendly. The raw bamboo is cut down into very small strips, softened and then moulded with glue into the shape required. It is then dried in natural sunlight and sanded and polished many times. Finishing involves highly skilled workmanship involving the application by hand of many layers of coloured lacquer to achieve a perfect finish. This salad bowl is food safe. It can be washed in warm water using detergent but it is not dishwasher safe. Approximate measurements; 24 x 19 x 12 cm.
